Amico del Solevante
Luca's friends
The beauty of a friendship is that it can be born in various ways. Sometimes new acquaintances are made by attending new places, or by travelling. We meet in restaurants, bars, or bookshops on the street. I have been traveling for sixteen years and have lived for 6 years in Takayama. Over the years I've made friends with some of the people who run these businesses and who I still hang out with today. They are pleasant environments in which to spend time, so I decided to offer them on my tours as well.
"Kyoya" restaurant
A restaurant fifteen minute walk from downtown. An ancient place where you can taste good local food and with home-made products. A place for lovers of real traditional Japanese and Takayama cuisine.

"La Forchetta" restaurant
Traveling around the world, it hasn't often happened to me to find people of another nationality who know how to make real Italian cuisine. My dear friend Masa is one of those people who always know how to surprise in the kitchen.

"Cafe DON"
All the kind staff of Cafe DON are my friends. A family business that has been offering a place with an atmosphere of the good old days for two generations. Breakfasts, drip coffees and desserts and much more, all homemade in a retro (Japanese) environment.

Guest house "SOY Cafe"
Tai is a friend and one of the managers of one of the most beautiful places to stay and try local dishes with a very delicate flavour, trying to respect the seasons and nature. The two structures were restored by the master carpenters of Hida (Hida no Takumi) with a thousand-year history. A recommended place for lovers of nature, Japanese culture and healthy food.
"Eviltex" hamburgers
Tsuyoshi and Yukari are my friends and they run a Texas-style hamburger restaurant. Homemade burgers and much more good American and Mexican style food. Also a hangout for Harley bikers like me. A place that I recommend not only for the pleasant atmosphere but also for the goodness of the food!
